Public and Stakeholder Engagement
Do you have a few minutes? Share Your Feedback Today!
Were you unable to join our virtual public meetings on October 25-28 or want to share more? Take just a few minutes to share some quick feedback by selecting a topic below. For more details, view all of the public meeting materials here. The public comment period will be open through December 10.
TIER 1 EVALUATION
The Tier 1 Evaluation is a high-level analysis looking at which transit types and route options would be the best fit for the study corridor. An overview of the Tier 1 Evaluation is provided in the video below, and the full draft report can be found here.
ROUTE OPTIONS
ROUTE OPTIONS

The Tier 1 Evaluation identified two northern, one central, and three southern route options for bus rapid transit (BRT) in this corridor. North Option 1 to Brown Deer and South Option C to Ascension Franklin are being evaluated as part of an open BRT model, meaning the route would provide periodic service to those destinations with the primary route serving to Bayshore on the north or Drexel Town Square or Northwestern Mutual on the south end.

Total population and jobs per route-mile by route option is shown below. Click on the chart to view it in more detail.

Comments can be provided in the interactive map linked below or by submitting them in the form on this page.
STATION LOCATIONS
PRELIMINARY STATION LOCATIONS

Intersections where stations could be located along the route options are shown on the map. Preliminary station locations are 1/4 to 1/2 mile apart. The project team will be looking at ridership, equitable access, population, and jobs around each station to refine locations, in addition to public feedback. Stations are expected to be similar to those currently under construction along the East-West BRT line.
Stations will include:
-
Level boarding
-
High-quality shelters with seating
-
Off-board ticketing
-
Real-time bus arrival information and schedules
-
Lighting
Comments can be provided in the interactive map linked below or by submitting them in the form on this page.
BUS-ONLY LANES
BUS-ONLY LANE CONVERSION OPTIONS
The Tier 1 evaluation identified bus rapid transit (BRT) as the transit type most appropriate for this corridor at this time. In the Tier 2 evaluation, currently under way, several BRT implementation options are being considered, including identifying options for bus-only lanes. Bus-only lanes are an important part of BRT service. Some of the benefits and impacts are listed below.
Benefits:
-
Greatly improves reliability of transit service
-
Provides traffic calming which improves safety
-
Provides travel time savings
Impacts:
-
Traffic delays in select locations are expected during short periods of the day
-
Reduction of on-street parking for residents and businesses
-
Bike lanes may be impacted or need to be modified
ā
Bus-only lanes would be possible within the existing roadway by converting a wide shoulder, a parking lane (or parking and bike lane), or a travel lane to a bus-only lane. Review these options on the map and provide feedback below.
